Just A Kid That Is In Sixth Grade

We had to make a comment on Mr.McGuire and here it is it is about integrity:

Does integrity matter to sixth grader? Well I disagree because I think it matters to everyone because integrity gives you respect to the people you know,(trust). If I didn’t have integrity then not everyone would trust me.

If I was in Kevin position I would not tell Max because he might leave and not want anything to do with me so we are sorta alike.

I think my integrity does guide my live because if I didn’t then I would be in jail or some kind of thing like that and I would be hated by everyone.

“How much do I have” well I have a lot of potential and some that is not in use yet.  I have a comment that I made on my teachers blog about potential here it is:

If there was potentiometer and I could score my self I think I would get average of 90 but this is what I think. I think my full potential is 96, 97 or 98 and this is what I think. To reach my full potential I would have to finish school and go to college. Other ways to reach my full potential is by using strategies to help me. One other way to reach my full potential is by asking teachers questions so I know more about what I’m learning about. The OAT test is going to big but I sure I’m going to pass and it is going to be long.

That is it and How muck do you have.

This changing is making me mad.  The weather is going to warm but is so cold.  I’m just ready for it to be warm.  The weather gets warm and it gets us ready and then it just drops down the drain and gets cold again.  I getting mad I want all warm weather.

Books books books, there are so many books and I’ve read some of them and there were some good books to.  There were also some weird books to but I still read them tell me if you have read some of the books I have:

The White Fox Chronicles, Adventure,

Holes, Wild,

Small Steps, [I’m reading it now],Exciting,

That is some of the books I’ve read.  If you like a lot of adventure in a book and a character that is daring and will stand up and fight for his life The White Fox Chronicles is the book for you.  If you want a book that is wild and hooks to the book at the begging well that would be Holes, if you have already read Holes and want to read the sequel read Small Steps it gets you hooked in the middle.  Well let me know if you got the right book that makes you want to stick your face in it for hours.

We all had to make a comment on The Reading Workshop about sportsmanship at our school and there was also a video with sportsmanship in it show us.  Well this is my comment:

When I was watching this video one person came to my mind and that is Justin. The other day when we were outside for recess, Noah my best friend was running and he hit his head on a slide, he went to a fast stop and just set there for a little bit, when everyone else went on and played Justin stopped and helped him up. He also talked to him to cheer him up and he did and I really think this is sportsmanship.

Why do I keep on going?  I keep on reading my book.  The things that make me keep reading is when it is almost at the end of the chapter, in my book Small Steps it makes you think what could possible happen in the next paragraph and how could it happen.  One other thing is at the beginning it doesn’t completely tell you what is going to happen in all of the chapter.  When I’m reading my book it makes me stop in the middle of the book and ask myself questions like “Why did he just make that deal” and “How did they sell a ticket for twice the amount they bought it for.  So why can’t you stop reading.

The big game I’ve been waiting the whole season for this game.  My favorite team didn’t get there but we got to the playoff but lost.  I’m ready to see the game and I’m going for the Saints but if you are going for the Colts let me know.  I think it is going to be a very close but if you disagree let me know.

I’m going to be working on a report that is a Social Studies and Reading workshop grade.  This report is going to be about a person that was in Ancient Egypt and how this person made an impact on the development of his or her civilization and other important facts.  I’m writing about Hatshepsut, one of the few women rulers.

Hatshepsut’s civilization was Ancient Egypt.  Hatshepsut was the first woman pharaoh to rule ancient Egypt.  At first she was not Pharaoh but her husband who was the Pharaoh at the time died and they were going to make their son pharaoh but he was to young, so she became pharaoh.  She ruled between the time period of 1479–1458 BC.  She was the fifth pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt to rule.

The eighth year of her reign, Hatshepsut organized the biggest trading expedition of her career.  The goal of Hatshepsut expedition was to trade with Egypt’s neighbors to the south in Punt.  They had huge caravans of scribes, soldiers and artists and went to the Red sea.  When they got there they loaded the cargo on Sleek ship for the long journey south.  When they arrived in Punt Hatshepsut’s  scribes displayed the jewelry, papyrus and bronze weapons that were being traded.  In exchange the Pharaoh received gold, perfume, ivory, leopard skins and even live apes.  The Egyptians returned home to Egypt.  The entire expedition lasted two years.

Info came from the following sites and books:

Some interesting things in my book Holes that I’m reading today are right here in a post.  If you like what you see comment, here they are.

1.  The first thing is that when Stanly the character in my book gave the golden tube that he founded when he was digging and gave it to one of the other kids in the camp that was interesting to me, why would he give it to him.

2.  Somthing else that was interesting is when you get done digging a hole you spit in it.

3.  Another thing that is interesting is that the warden is a girl.
